This Data Logger package comes equipped with an industry standard #40R reed switch anemometer which is very accurate and durable. The optional #40R anemometer is a more rugged, extra heavy duty version of the standard 3-cup anemometer. The Data Logger is housed in a weatherproof Pelican case with self-resetting fusing, and it hase lightning protection for all sensor channels and solar input.
The APRS-6062 #40R Outdoor Wind Data Logger AC Powered Package is designed for use in areas that are served by commercial AC / mains power. In the event of a power failure, the system will automatically switch to internal batteries and continue to operate. The AC powered unit includes eight alkaline D cell batteries, which will power the Wind Data Logger for approximately 30 days without AC Power. The Outdoor Package was designed specifically for customers who need a secure, weather-proof location to store a data logger. The Data Logger is enclosed in an almost indestructible Pelican TM Case. This package is especially popular in urban environments.
